The Rev. Robert Beazley
Robert Beazley is a lifelong Episcopalian who was ordained in 2015. He grew up in Tallahassee, FL where he received a Bachelor’s of Science majoring in Environmental Studies from the Florida State University. He attended seminary at the University of the South, Sewanee – where he met his wife. After serving with rural congregations in southeast Tennessee and most recently as the associate and chaplain at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and School in New Orleans, he is the priest-in-charge of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church.
Robert is married to the Rev. Liz Embler-Beazley, fellow lifelong Episcopalian and currently associate for congregational development at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, New Orleans. They are first time home owners in the Gentilly neighborhood and constantly daydream about improving their two lot property into the oasis of their dreams. They have a very presidential Basset Hound / Labrador (Grover Cleveland) who has excellent feline assistants (Toby & CJ). Robert’s agricultural inclined parents formed his green thumb and imagination.
Having grown up in the church, Robert’s passport has been stamped more often for church trips than for leisure. He is constantly amazed at the meaningful relationships that are formed through the Church and the communities they belong to. These experiences have taught him the invaluable lessons of seeing Christ in all persons, learning who your neighbors are, and sharing the grace-filled love of God with everyone.
